Nat Sulph 200 for Diabetes
I am Samarjit Pasayat, aged about 70 years, not a practicing homeopath, and my knowledge of homeopathy is very limited. I do a little bit of experimenting on myself, and accidentally stumbled upon a remedy for diabetes. The details are given hereunder.
I have been taking tablets for diabetes since 1994, and insulin since 2005. I take medicines for hypertension also. I had tried several herbs and ayurvedic medicines to control blood sugar without any significant result.
In August 2010, I had night cough at about 2.00 AM, so I decided to take Nat.Sulph 200. I took one drop of Nat.Sulph 200 in empty stomach early in the morning for 3 days. On the 4th day severe hypoglycemia occurred at mid-day before lunch. Hypoglycemia also occurred early in the morning. In those days, I could not attribute the cause of hypoglycemia to Nat. Sulph. I thought it was caused by a medicine that I took for controlling hypertension.
Again in December 2010, I took Nat Sulph 200 for controlling night cough, and again hypoglycemia occurred at mid day before lunch. By this time, I guessed that Nat. Sulph 200 might be the cause of reduction of level of blood sugar.
In spite of my taking the recommended dose of insulin, sometimes my fasting blood sugar becomes higher ( in the range of 160-180). I take Nat Sulph 200 for 2 days and monitor my fasting blood sugar till it comes down to 90-100. Then I reduce my insulin dose by 1 unit, till sugar level increases to 130 level, again I take Nat Sulph 200 for a day or two to get FBS down to 90-100. Thus, I have been able to take less insulin.
I have observed that one drop of Nat Sulph 200 taken in empty stomach early in the morning is very effective in bringing down level of blood sugar. This should not be taken for more than two days at a stretch, and without expert advice. It is warned that severe hypoglycemia may occur.
Since I am an amateur, I am not in a position to recommend how frequently Nat Sulph 200...
